Lawsuits For Wrongful Death Explained

When someone loses their life due to the failure of another to use reasonable care, it may give rise to a wrongful death case. These cases are premised on the fact that while the death was unintentional, the "bad actor" still bears some responsibility for causing the death. When it is found that the defendant negligently or wrongfully caused the death of the victim, they may be found liable for damages.
